About Pro Ski Simulator
We build one thing: mechanical machines that train the carved turn of alpine skiing. The idea goes back to 1999. Today the same machine runs on kids’ frames, living-room machines, racers’ rigs and studio stations in more than 30 countries.
Who we are
The idea for a ski training machine goes back to 1999. We are a family of skiers, and we wanted what cyclists already had with their indoor bikes: a way to prepare the muscles that do the most work in skiing, all year round, before the season starts.
We found no machine that did what we wanted, so we built one. Coming from a technical field, we started with drawings and paper prototypes; getting from the first drawing to a working prototype took about eight months. The shape of that prototype is still the shape of every Pro Ski — over the years we have changed and upgraded single parts, not the idea.
Together with the Faculty of Sport in Ljubljana we ran lab tests to check what the machine does: they showed that training on it improves physical condition, coordination, strength and balance.
Today our customers are fitness centres, ski clubs, physiotherapists and private buyers. The machine is also used for rehabilitation of the lower limbs after injury. We develop and build it in Maribor, a short drive from the Pohorje slopes where we ski ourselves.
What hasn’t changed: every Pro Ski is purely mechanical. No motor pushes you — elastic ropes pull the cart back to the centre, and your legs do the skiing.

Every frame, cart and module is developed and produced in our workshop in Maribor, Slovenia (Pod Pohorjem 17, 2000 Maribor). For you that means a warranty handled by the people who built the machine, spare parts that don’t cross an ocean, and free shipping anywhere in the EU.

PRO SKI is a company that works in the field of development, research and production of ski simulators for beginners and professional skiers. The development and production of the ski machine is based in its entirety in Slovenia, but is sold all over the world and is already present in more than 30 countries. Training with the PRO ski simulator teaches users from the basics of skiing for beginners to the skiing capabilities of advanced skiers.
We are aware that the company’s vision to become a world-renowned manufacturer of advanced ski simulators can only be achieved by developing a successful international digital presence. The business digitalization operation has allowed the company to expand even further into new international markets.
